Not exactly batgain of the century, but still the best deal on a Garmin Edge 705, with Cadence and HRM that I could find. Fast delivery too......

Not really clued up with the Edge 705 as I'm happy with my 305, but the problem with that purchase maybe the fact you may have to pay an additional £100 (roughly) for a descent map to go with it.

If I understand it they come with just the Training Centre base map which is next to useless, so to use them to their full capability you need to buy the extra map(s) which are not cheap.

It is a good price for a 705 but also budget for the map.

Unfortunately Garmin do like to screw people over with the mapping. Apparently, there are ways of downloading free maps, although I haven't really delved too deep as I already had City Navigator Europe prior to purchase.

All the best, Andy

Someone just posted a similar question on my site, here's the resource I pointed him to for free open source routable mapping http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php

Just grabbed a cracking bargain. A brand-spanking new Carrera Vanquish frame, and forks. Admittedly these are old stock as the forks are not the carbon ones. On the plus side the paint job is sooo much sexier than the current gun-metal grey that they are now touting. It is a lovely white and black. Very nice. The price? £25 for frame AND forks.

They have an lot of frames in at present. Various models, and sizes. All brand new. All from a Halford's branch that closed down. And no, it's not knock-off as the place selling them is a charity organisation who refurbish bikes. Anyhow, if you are interested then give Kevin (or was it Keith?) a ring on 01905 619068. The organisation is called MotoV8.

Now, where do I start in building a bike? I barely know my arse from my elbow........... ;)

All the best, Andy

Oh, and I just checked on Ebay, and the exact same frame is up for sale, same paint job and all, on a "Buy it Now" for £79.95. WITHOUT FORKS!! Making the 25 quid that I paid an absolute steal!! ;)
