Right. Grey skies here. Looks like I'll be bringing the Big Orange Beastie.
Any of you folks finding yourselves on my rear wheel at the bottom of a hill be warned.
It climbs like a three toed sloth.
In mittens.

I rhink I'll have a nap. Wake me up before you lot go...

I had a very easy ride home from London Bridge to E4 which makes me think the wind is helpful

It was a great ride, although with a few little mechanicals (me included when my front bike light Topeak Bar-X-tender decided to make a bid for freedom only a couple of miles from HPC), and quite a bit of drizzle. The weather wasn't quite bad enough that I regretted going, but it did need some light waterproofs, otherwise I would have got wet and cold. The waterproofs both kept me from getting wetter, and were a windproofing layer.

The weather couldn't quite decide whether to be wet or dry, so we had several drizzly bits, which managed to continue for me right up until my front door!

As ever, many thanks to all those who led, TEC'd, or were human signposts, especially after a couple of consecutive mechanicals meant that people were left waiting quite a while for the group to catch up (or in User10571's case a very very very long time, since we didn't seem to go the same way as him. I still haven't worked that one out).

Also special thanks to Adrian for showing me the route from Bromley to Croydon, which is much more pleasant than the Victoria Station to Croydon route I was planning on taking, and several miles shorter to boot.

A fine, if little damp, outing to Whitstable

Cooo-eee I'm home!

What an exhilarating day out - thanks to everyone who makes the ride what it is and who's names maybe I'll never know.
Another crop of sniggers, a new club formed, Ben's elegance (with a Garmin) and grace (darling) when scaling hills like a gazelle.
Seems like arallsopp will not be in need of these

A great night out. Big thanks to Simon, Adam and User10571 for leading/tail-ending the ride (and to everyone who acted as human signposts or who dealt with mech failures).

The weather could have been kinder, but it wasn't too bad over all.

The last few miles into Whitstable were fast and furious (well they felt that way, but I guess I was probably averaging 3mph into the headwind!) and it was a relief to finally find the cafe and tuck into some beans on toast...
