What is the current weather forecast? It is currently chucking it in London.

Here too! Needless to say I have left home equipped only for dry weather. Sort it out down there, would you?

XC shows nothing much in London, Gatwick, Newhaven through the night... Brighton cloudy + a bit, rainy by afternoon.

I thought you were going to join the post ride rehydration session in Brighton for the first time?

Although I have heard you're a bit of a light weight

I'm not even going to bother rising to the lightweight bit.

My original plan was to join the rehydration session but bit skint as it's end of the month and I need the miles as I missed Brighton last Friday.

weather forecast this side of the channel dry after 1 am. A shower as we arrive in Dieppe, and the risk of rain late afternoon going in to Paris, but not much.

Frank - I have two sets of maps, one of which is going to Titus. The route to Paris is marked on both, and there are annotations on junctions gleaned from Google Maps. It's a pretty efficient route, avoiding hills, sticking to D roads and going through Gisors and Cergy-Pointoise. Even if the Saint-Saens animals get away early you'll still catch us with ease by Paris.

I've got a print of the route from the Arc de Triomphe to Avenue Jean Juares as well.

Are we up for the Gatwick Surprise? We may take casualties as the cops open up with those nifty plastic macine guns, so Plan B (as in welcome to hell), should the polis chuck us out of Gatwick, is Pease Pottage services (one of only two motorway service stations not on a motorway, for those of you who missed the motorway service station trivia thread a couple of years ago).

I'll probably rehydrate and then cycle back. Got the day off, so no rush for me :thumbsup:

I'll hang around for a bit but rehydrating with yellow beer tends to take the edge of any cycling ability I can pretend to have. I'm going to aim to be home for 1 for the L'Alpe stage on ITV4

Have a great ride folks, am rather jealous.

Have you had problems at Gatwick before? As Biondino and I lunched there a couple of months ago by entering through the weird tower by the cycle path underneath the building, walked through the terminal and carried bikes up to Apostrophe with nary a glance from any of THE MAN's attendants. May be a little different at stupid o'clock though...

Very wise! Cycling back is for losers.

That's not very nice
