Fitting Di2 to external rout frame (Spesh Allez)

As I understand it the gears stay indexed for longer and the lack of mechanical cables means it stays smoother for longer whereas mechanical cables pick up dirt etc?!

Swings and roundabouts. I have had problems with connectors and water getting into the system, draining the battery in a day. 3 shops have been unable to solve the problem so far. A lot of people I have met on rides and my commute have asked questions about DI2 and from the questions they ask, they obviously do not know much about it and yet most of them want it on their bikes. To be honest I would rather have the latest Dura ace groupset over Dura ace DI2. I think most people who do not have DI2 and have not used it, think that it is better than it actually is.

As others have said I'd just get a new bike, plenty of deals on older models.
