There are tons of films I've never seen. That's not from some kind of highbrow "that film is beneath me" thing. I've not taken active steps to avoid them just haven't seen them. I don't watch films often enough to get through them all.
As I mentioned on the other thread, I was pretty sure that I'd seen Jaws. But when I watched it last weekend I realised that I was mistaken. But I'd seen enough clips from it, memes from it, and enough similar films to have built a convincing but false memory of having seen it in the 70s/80s.
There are a fair few films I'd seen in dribs and drabs on telly but only much later watched all the way through.
Oh yeah, Dirty Dancing, and The Sound of Music as well.
I know this isn't the "films that you had never seen but have now" thread, but I saw the Sound of Music for the first time recently.
It was better than Jaws.
