Assuming you survive! :?:

I survived the first part of my journey, so my thanks to everyone here for the advice. I think 10mg of Temazepam may have helped too.

I was also quite lucky with the food as the vegetarian option was far superior to the standard meals. I'm not used to having omnivores looking longingly at my veggie food.

i don't get to fly that often (although i have some real long-haul stuff under my belt), and to me it's a bit of a treat, at least for the first 4 hours anyway.

i'll happily watch air crash investigation the night before i fly, but i'm not what you'd call a hard case. perversely, i hate heights but flying is something i like doing :?:

Yeah, it's interesting because I was mostly unaware of height especially once above the clouds. I had a few minutes where I thought I was about to freak out because I accidentally thought about the lack of firm ground beneath me. I'd have found it much more stressful without the chill pills.

Anyway, one flight down, three to go. Detroit tomorrow morning.

Congratulations and Well Done!!

Our cats have a Veterinary dose of Diazepam before we take them on the ferry to Ireland, they chill out and get quite adventurous where as they would usually spend the entire voyage cowering under the seats.

With almost 600 flights of one sort or another, over 300 of which I didn't land in the plane that I took off in, and over 200 that I was P1, I'd have to say I don't have a fear of flying.
