Unfortunately this mindset of being thoughtful of the other person doesn't work in the US. People see this as "You can't tell me what to do." Selfish, selfish, selfish. I wear a mask whenever I go to a store or I'm walking around where I will be passing people on the sidewalk in close proximity.
BBC tech journalist reckons people can get custom fit ones for around a fiver.

Made up numbers then? doesn't really help if it there is nothing to back it up, bit like after sex then laying on your back with your legs in the air in an attempt to increase your chances of getting pregnant.
