Not sure on the modeld, it was as tall as my Kodiaq
What's the towing limit?
For an X it's 2267 Kg. EVs have loads of power and torque for towing, but it kills range due to the added weight and decrease in Aero.
Additionally if you are towing you usually can't get near to a charger without unhitching.

Thanks

My Cupra Born isn’t homologated to have roof bars fitted, have you heard of anything more ridiculous.

Daft isn't it. My van has three roof rack points above the 'glass roof', but not one nearer the front, not one nearer the back, like the 'commercials'. If it had them, I'd be able to fit full roof rails.

Rumours of high increases (perhaps 50%) in the US for Tesla insurance due to risk of vandalism (which in turn is due to Musk) 🫣

Hoping for some advice. I am currently researching EV's with a view to purchasing in the next couple of months. How important is battery capacity/health on a used vehicle?

I am looking at something no more than 3 years old and around 20,000 miles. Should I also be looking at a minimum level of battery capacity? I was looking at a car over the weekend, 22 reg with 22,000 miles on the clock but its battery capacity was at 92%. This seemed low to me but I am not that well versed in what is standard?

After 3 years there should be no sensible deteoriation in capacity. 92% after 3 years and 20,000 seems somewhat horrible.

It isn't like your mobile phone - the battery charging and control should be managed such that the battery life is substantially better than unmanaged devices.

Walk away unless the current range is adequate and the price is very, very good.

That was my thought, will pass on it.

The salesman's line was "It's close to 100%". That's like me saying as I ride a bike that I am 'close' to winning the TdF!

At 22,000 miles it should still be >95%. It suggests to me this car has been repeatedly charged at fast chargers only or has some sort of battery problem

On average, EV batteries only degrade at a rate of 2.3% of maximum capacity per year, and recent Stanford research suggests that EV batteries may last up to 40% longer than previously thought. This means the average EV battery could potentially last around 280,000 miles or more
My ID4 is 2 years and 4 months old with 29,000 on the clock. It has no appreciable capacity loss so far. 100% this morning indicated a range of 259 miles. About normal.

& Herr Müskler’s influence continues:
From Politico

A third of Tesla owners surveyed by Dutch outlet EenVandaag said they have either sold their Tesla or are planning to do so in reaction to Musk's remarks. "If I had known how he is now, I would never have taken a Tesla," one of the respondents said.
Many of those still driving Teslas are buying bumper stickers saying: "I bought this before Elon Musk went crazy."
But Tesla's troubles aren't entirely due to Musk becoming the frontman for global right-wing populists. The company has also languished in recent years, stuck with aging models while rivals in China and Europe come up with more attractive cars.
"The much bigger impact on Tesla is the fact that the models are outdated," said Lukasz Pajak, co-founder of German used car platform Cardino. "And then you have the pricing element where new players on the market are much more affordable."

I don’t understand why the Tesla board haven’t taken action. I guess they are paid to not, and are embedded with the new oligarchy trying to forge ahead under the mango Mussolini 🙄

And don’t forget the VW was a ‘people’s car’ requested by the Fu#er.

The capacity drops early on of the battery life. Then stabilises with less decline - unless a fault develops, then capacity will be severely effected
