I've been subscribed to Eurosport for a few years now and usually watch the cycling races/stages on the video section some days after the actual race, in my own time. But just recently there has been a lack of videos available despite the site telling me there are several...like today, says 9 available cycling videos yet only gives me the option of 2 (both short TT's)
I've contacted them to be told.. 'not all live events are available on video' ..'try another browser' and 'videos may not be available because of copyright'. Yet when i asked why then does it tell me there are 9 videos available but i've only got a choice of 2, I didn't get a reply. It's not only the cycling videos, a few of the other sports are the same.
I've not had this problem in the past, and i've tried different browsers and different computers all with the same results.
Anyone else get it or just me?

Plus the option to "cast" to the TV via Chromecast doesn't work.Emailed them to be told there's no idea when it will work !

Really I've sent various emails only to be told "were aware of it and engineers are looking Into it" where is the cast icon on the app ? Have app on phone and Kindle and neither has the cast symbol

My Samsung Smart TV has a Eurosport Player app which no longer works and will not be supported in the future. That is pretty annoying because I used to use it a lot, but I have discovered that my Samsung phone and Samsung tablet can both send their signals to the TV. I don't know whether phones & tablets from other brands would be able to do it too. (Settings/Connections/Screen mirroring.)

Though so sorry,I only really purchased the app to make use of the casting/Chromecast feature as advertised.Yes col I can mirror from phone but it's not that good, might aswell watch for free on Mobdro for that quality

Hmm ... they also seem to have dropped down from full HD to 720p!

I am watching KBK now by sending the screen on my 2nd laptop wirelessly to my TV. I wasn't keen on the 720p signal resized to fit the full HD screen but have reduced it to 80% size now and that looks a lot better.

PS

Ha - it just switched itself back to the laptop for some reason. Oh well, I might as well watch it there. It looks pretty good full-screen on the 13.3 inch screen which looks almost as big close up as the TV does in the distance

I've subscribed to eurosport app recently and my god, it's pish poor.

The app has very recently disappeared from xbox apps

The app is not available on Samsung apps

The app on my android box is 720p

I'll just stick a hdmi lead from my laptop to my TV to watch it in future. At the moment I have eurosport as part of a BT TV subscription so I'm OK at the moment

Ps when it says "7 cycling" videos this can be split down between highlights, clips etc which is not very clear when using the app.

It used to be really good. Practically all the cycling events they covered were available for at least a week on video catch-up. I'm also sure that the picture quality used to be better.

TBH the picture is not BAD, especially compared to what it was like 5 or 6 years ago, but once you have seen it in HD you don't want to go back again!

I don't like their stupid 'broadcast' model. I assume that it is a licensing issue, otherwise why not just stick everything in the video section and let the customer decide what to watch and when?

Chromecast working fine for me (both from iPad and Android phone). I've been disappointed with the video selection so far this year and I'm hoping that will improve once the classics start. Delighted to get 12 months subscription for 20 quid though.

(And click on the 'news' tab for the other 7 videos - they're usually only a couple of minutes long though.)
