Auntie Helen

Ich bin Powerfrau!
I appear to have permission from His Lordship to nick the car and drive to London to go cycling (it's still a bit hard to get my head round that one). I'll probably have to leave the house just after 7am to ensure I get there in time with potential traffic issues but, hey, it's all good for the soul. I am sure adequate ingestion of cakes will make up for it.

I presume, Mr Of Gold, that we can PM you our mobile numbers nearer the time in case of any delays/problems? And who's bringing the tunnelling kit for Ben? (And who's bringing the crane to get me up this mystery hill that's taking on epic proportions in the various references to it above...)

Hahaha the hill really isn't that bad (I am just badly out of shape). Still, I'd also like to know who's bringing the towrope I'll be attaching to the back of your trike Helen!

Looking forward to this now. I purchased a new saddle last night, so hopefully I'll still be able to walk afterwards.

I made a few mods to my bike in preperation of the Mount Richmond. I didn't have a camera to hand so I drew a quick picture

That should get me up there!!

I was wondering how we would find each other. I have no idea what any of you look like (except tdr1nka, assuming that is him in his avatar).

I guess Auntie Helen should be easy to spot, there can't be too many ladies on trikes.

If it helps I'll be on a 2 wheel bike wearing a helmet and a yellow jacket.

I've never been to the cafe in the park, so I'm not sure of any landmarks to meet next to, or do I just look for the group of cyclist eating cakes

...likewise if anyone spots a woman fighting to extricate a trike from a car, come and say hello!

I would imagine most people will be wearing a fluorey jacket so we'll all look pretty similar. As Redjedi comments, I should be fairly easy to spot.

If someone could give very specific directions as to a meeting place (preferably near-ish to wherever it is I can park my car, or at least easy to find for someone who doesn't know London Parks at all) I would be grateful. How about a screenshot of Google Maps of the park with a big X-marks-the-spot on it!

I will be wearing 3/4 length shorts, a long sleeve orange & black CC jersey, weather permitting, sans 'lid' and on a sliver road bike with very very bright lights!;)

And yes, that is me in my avatar only I have two eyes in real life.

Is that like an AMAZINGLY thin bike??

tdr1nka, does this mean that you're not wearing a yellow jacket like the rest of us? Where's your sense of conformity???

Just call me the 'black sheep' of the peleton!:girl:

And the bike, seat like a razor blade.*wince*

BTW I can bring a tripod if someone can bring a decent camera to immortalise this grand event!
