There's no rush big fella apart from the impending gloom! Terry and and User13710 won't be racing and we won't be leaving anyone behind.

You may regret that last bit once you see how slowly I'm going these days.....

Looking at the latest route, I'll probably miss out the Beachy Head loop and head up to Berwick, so you speedy boys can have a blast without having to wait for me. Would I have Terry's company for that?

That's distinctly possible but it is the best bit (apart from the hills!)

No, you're thinking of the road from Seaford to Alfriston. The Litlington road is flat; in fact after coming back down to the Cuckmere it is all flat.

The hills to worry about are the climb from Cuckmere Haven to Friston, the last bit of Birling Gap to Beachy Head and the sharp nip from East Dean to Friston. The rest is easy-ish!

As you say, see how you feel on the day.

I am neither speedy or a boy. Ye gods, I've even puked at the top of Ditchling!

It's 15 miles to Cuckmere on the way out, 28 on the way back and a further 7 to the pub  at Berwick. I reckon we should get to the Berwick Arms about 12.30 to 1pm. Does that sound okay? If we want to stop earlier or later, for coffee :cuppa: say, then we'll play it by ear. Ditchling Beacon may be a bridge too far in the gloaming but we'll see. Straight back down the A27 from Lewes to Brighton on the cycle path is the other noisy option which will save 6 miles and a big hill! (and possibly a chuck-up from Greg!:giggle:)
