It would have to be the 27th or 28th for me. Any preference? We may have some others with us too. User13710 and Mrs rich p for a start!

It's optional! We could always go down the A27 from Lewes which is what I usually do

9am for me. I must admit that I'm loathe to commit cos I could bail due to a horrible hangover. However if I do come along, I'll be riding down and a 9am start will mean leaving the house at 6am.

Okay, 9am at the pier (Palace to the cognoscenti and Brighton to the rest!).

It's not going to be a superfast ride although there are obvious bail-outs and shortcuts if necessary.

9 am would be good for me, as I'd ride over to Brighton, then leave you when we get back to Lewes on the return leg. Not that I'm trying to avoid the Beacon or anything, now I know I can do it

You do know that you have to keep proving it, don't you?

you're only ever as good as your last ascent of the Beacon (or Bostal) you know.
