I am unaware of any nationwide shortage of San Miguel. If there actually is one, I'm reassured by the knowledge that I have a stock of 168 cans in the back of my van, and a few more in the chateau. This is part of my "Not Just In Time" logistics strategy.

BTW, if there's a shortage of pilchards, I just may be able to help you out.
They listed San Miguel as one of those in short supply.

Seen fewer Fray Bentos pies on the shelves.

I drove from Kettering to Wymondamananom A14/A11 yesterday afternoon. Normally, there's holdups near Newmarket, 5-Ways and Thetford due to roadworks and roundabouts.
Yesterday? Nothing.. Not even normal afternoon traffic, let alone Friday muppetry!
Some filling stations open, with small queues, some closed.

Been all over the place this month for work, filled the van up 4 times, no issues in 3100 miles, first few days of the alleged crisis there were huge queues and then empty petrol stations, by Monday things were getting more and more back to normal, with what I saw were was BP outlets with no fuel left, filled up at Morrisons in Harrogate, one near the park and ride at Cross Green Leeds and Sainsburys at the Team Valley, no huge queues or aggro, at what has been considered the peak of all this madness

We filled up at Tesco in Exmouth yesterday evening after doing a bit of shopping. Although there was only a couple of pumps open there was no queue and no limit. At least I’ve now got enough to drive back home to York (not that I’ve minded being ‘stuck’ here for an extra week).

Should add to this that fuel was available on the A168/A19 at the service stations on there, but they’d put the prices right up, £1.49 for a litre of diesel, £1.37 elsewhere

You'd want to make sure she doesn't get fuel on her skin. With all that plastic the last thing you'd want is this coming towards you.
