Got my new bike all most two weeks ago. Today the streets dried up for a spell so I decided to take it up the road for a wee test ride. I only got to the main road and turned back because the road was dirty. How sad!! I really hate the thought of gettin the drivetrain dirty!

My wife is going mad saying that it is the most expensive orniment in the house!!

Anyone else keeping their bike good until summer?

Cheers,

Col

Just wash it. My bike will be five in July and still gleams. Lots of soapy water, rinse well followed by a light polish. Gives the chance for close examination for paint chips which are more of a problem than a bit of dirt!

Some people have a couple of bikes so they can keep one for 'best' i.e. nice dry sunny days. I got a new bike two years ago and some people are surprised just how clean I have managed to keep it.

What have you got ? Any pics ?

Yet again Rando talking sense! I will admit I was a bit annoyed on my first run when the road started getting wet and muddy, but then I love cleaning and polishing the bike like I love cleaning/waxing my car so its a bit of fun after a ride too! lol
