I really do appreciate everyone's help and encouragement.

This constant nagging in my head must be what it's like to be married:laugh:. I'm looking forward to going to sleep.
Even if i still have this blooming headache i'm going out for a ride so i can blow the cobwebs out of my lungs.

Reading the comments has definitely been a great booster. I will only go forwards and not back.

That lasted about a week for me, constant non stop thinking about a cig. As that subsided, the physical side got easier.
At 3 weeks, i scarecely thought about it, the craving was still there but really quite easy to deal with.

You know the most important thing i found which helped......when i got a pang i remembered 1) Its the nicotine losing! and 2) remember that by not smoking you are NOT depriving yourself of anything you smoke because of the addicition....nothing else.
Well done, it actually gets better after the first few days! Read the whole of this thread if you haven't already....it will help
A big thumbs up from me!

This is stupid. How can something so legal have me bouncing off the walls:ohmy:. Even though i have the plague and the thought of food turns me green.
My head keeps on telling me to
'Just pop to the shop for a pack, you'll feel better'

Even though i have all the colours of the rainbow (as long as it's green) coming out of my nose and mouth. That little voice keeps on piping up.

It's a gorgeous day (for a change) and i wish i was out there, but my brain is still trying to claw it's way out. Oh well, it's my own fault.
At least while i have this cold, it's helping to clear my body so it's all good.

This thread is full of heroes, I hope to be one of them soon.

Be strong bluenite, deal with each craving as it comes. 5 minutes and it will pass. The glass of cold water mentioned earlier helped me too. I found having a cold was the best to to start stopping, you feel less like a cig anyway.
Be strong....

The nicotine gremlins are going nuts because they are losing, you are winning. Be strong, be pig headed, they will soon learn that they are not the master of you.

Is it craving ?, is it just acid or something aggravating my chest ? but it feels like craving.
No danger, come too far to do anything stupid...but wow.
