I am nonplussed about her, much like most people I do not know. She has never explicitly done anything that I disagree with (well, nothing that I know of anyway). Anyway, who the feck am I to judge?

She is/will raise a lot of money for charity doing something that is outside her comfort zone and something that is very very hard. That in itself is a form of redemption. Perhaps a small/big part is her exercising some of her own demons. We may never know.

Applaud her for doing something that most of us would never be able to do, be that the physical, spectacle, fundraising or support element. I see all of those attributes as positive.

Now, if only we could see more philanthropy from those that earn vast excess wealth.
