From reading this you seem to like to have your own opinion, well I hope you don't mind but you come across as a complete and utter cock, just my opinion....

It would be difficult for me to have someone else's opinion. That my opinion differs from others does not mean my opinion is of any less value; nor that it's incorrect. I'm quite happy for others to express their opinions, however I also have the same right to express mine - it's an internet forum after all and I'd be disappointed to discover that we all had to toe a line dictated by "cheerleaders for Davina"

Apart from all the money raised for charity, the best thing about this thread is that it made me make the decision to put Marmion on the ignore list. So many good posts but so often ruins a thread with blatant trolling or just veiled abuse.

Yeah it is a little odd so maybe that's the only explanation. I'd have thought Davina is the type of D list sleb one would either not bother having any opinion about, or one would quite like. Why you'd waste ages writing about how much you don't particularly care for someone (who let's face it is pretty irrelevant anyway) is baffling to say the least.

I might start a thread about how much I loathe Ted Moult or Sinbad off of Brookside - the bastards

Personally I don't care for celebs promoting themselves either and try to avoid them and their self-serving programmes too. Cracknell, Fogle, Boorman, McGregor and the like, poncing around.

What I like about Davina's challenge was that I could imagine doing it, minus the swimming, so I began to empathise with her sobbing patheticness. Whereas, stuff Helen Skelton has done is so far out of my comfort zone I can only try to imagine how hard it was. So in the end, I've applauded her effort, especially in that weather. It wasn't exceptional but it was brave and a massive personal challenge, so hats off to her.
