A divisive programme for sure. Load of old twaddle, or a warm and familiar microcosm of working class life? Only the investigative might of the sober minds at CyfleChat can settle this question for the nation.

Couldn't be bothered to watch the Christmas one .
I got totally bored with the previous series and couldn't stand all the hype about the new one .

I cant stand James Corden, but i do find the show funny. The script is good and Bryn and Nessa are great characters. Bryn in particular steals the show.
Thought the Christmas one would be a flop, as they so often are when its many years after a series has ended. But i think they pulled it off fine.

I voted for the I'd cheer if James Corden were mistaken for a hippo and shot by a big game hunter option. I unfortunately had to endure the 'humour' on Christmas day as i was at a friend's house. All her family gathered round the telly to watch it. They seemed to keep looking over at me as if to say "Why aren't you laughing? It's compulsory...you have to find it funny"!! Every now and then i'd give a little sarcastic smile to pacify them. The 'acting' was wooden. So much so that i found myself watching the 'acting' performances more than looking for the humour. The last time i didn't laugh so much when watching Christmas day TV was when we had to endure Morecambe and Wise year after year.:headshake:

Who are the actors who did the scene where drug taking was supposedly made acceptable? I can't place their faces. Has the bloke been in Eastenders or something like that? That to me was the most naff, wooden 'acting' performance of the program!

I really enjoy the programme, though find Corden more than mildly irritating. Nessa definitely my favourite character. I thought the Christmas special was okay, not as good as the series, but then they rarely are.

Really did not like the final ending scene though.

I/we never watched any of the early episodes but after all the hype tried it and we both found it quite good. Mind you Mrs D has been married to me over 50 years so she may be easily pleased:rolleyes:.
We both also enjoyed the christmas special (drugs and all).
