So, I signalled right for the roundabout, started to go and realised the car wasn't going to stop so I honked, they still carried on so slammed on the brakes and then they honk me.

They should of given way to the right, however I was slightly cutting the roundabout because it's a little bit of an awkward roundabout so does that make it partly my fault?

Do you think I was partly to blame here? What do you think from what you can see in the video?

I'm not a vid expert Thomas and I'm sure there will be others who are more qualified to comment.

It looked like one of those farty little RBs, but IMO, you were partly to blame for cutting it so much. Just my 10 pence worth.

RBs???

Mini rounderbout?

Did you cut across it?

Hard to see but I would say partly.
Yes, mini roundabout, and yes I did cut most of it off. It's a very awkward roundabout and I kind of find going around it properly (which I would always normally do) makes people think you're going straight over rather than right.

I did signal clearly though which makes me think either way she'd of probably gone for it.

Round bouts. I'm a lazy bugger.

I can see where you are coming from, they are pesky little things.

I have taken that roundabout "properly" before, without cutting anything off and I just don't feel as safe doing it like that. Only from that direction though...I'm always a little nervous that I'll come off from the paint or the gravel and the line I take there is a lot smoother.

I know these are excuses sooo ...

Not at all.

I was just saying that, if she had have hit you, she could have argued that you didn't follow the correct path around the mini RB.

Personally I think you should have gone round the MiniRB. I certainly would have done.
And agree with Snappers post above.

Sorry, got to agree and yes I do make the odd error but as posted above.IMHO

Mini rounderbouts aren't nice are they.I fell off on one about a year ago...also I noticed that the one near where the Old Martins Mart Bike Shop used to be(Leytonstone)(Where I got my 2nd ever bike) has disappeared.Do mini rounderbouts serve any good purpose or what?

I do sympathise, but in this case if you'd gone around properly, you'd have been OK.

Very difficult to signal clearly, cover brakes, and make the maneouvre, especially in the wet.

I'm not so sure, it depends at what point she spotted him.

Hackers, the purpose of mini RABs is to reduce the number and severity of collisions, whilst keeping traffic flowing.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't cut the RAB (in a perfect world) but had you gone around it properly, I suspect her actions would still have put her in your way (i.e. where she shouldn't have been).

It's all about saving time again isn't it? (Partly);)
