While yes he's made a mistake surely we should be encouraging Thomas to ride safely with encouragement and advice - not telling him some fella could thump him.
I appreciate your sentiments that you want the lad to be safe on the road but its the wrong way to go about it.
I appreciate that comment was heavy handed but one should never underestimate a drivers reaction to your cycling, correct or otherwise.
I've had this happen to me in the past.
It's probably in me from riding in London all these years.
So sorry Thomas if I was grinding you down, just cool your heels on those roundabouts.
Yeah, no problem. I did learn I need to be a bit more patient on roundabouts - they are like my Achilles heel so to speak, I'm sure we've all got something we could improve. With the first video I still think the girl should of given way, even though I did cut the roundabout. It was a small one so going around I still could of been hit/had to stop for her. The second one, from being there at the time I do believe the driver tried to make a point more than anything else. I know they come across as just excuses, but I'm not stupid enough to realise I did contribute to both of them.
It was just an unfortunate week with both of them...I can go around a roundabout without problems! As I will prove by not having another incident (that I've caused on one)...for a while anyway .
