I have always warmed them in the oven.
I no longer have an oven.
I have an air frier but wasn't happy with the result ie hot on the outside but cold on the inside.
I have just bought some more and thinking of trying them cold.
Any thoughts ?

Less heat for longer. Allow the heat to travel through the pastry.
Heat requires time to actually travel through the material.

Personally I much prefer a good, fresh pain au raisin (pret a manger, but at a push M&S or Coop if early in day). Quite like a fresh Cafe Nero apricot croissant also. I like my fruity additions!

Buy at local coop, 2 minutes in air fryer just to warm through and crisp up

Ever you tried a savoury one? Like with cheese and ham. Or something more exotic praps?

I'm not a huge fan tbh but will build morning rides around boulangeries that do a good pain au raisin, and believe me they do varie from one place to another.

Use the air fryer reduce the temp but increase the cooking time!

Ideally, bought from the boulangerie and taken to the nearby bar to eat with your morning coffee.
