England are scoring at almost exactly 2 runs an over more than Pakistan.
It just makes the game so much more interesting.

I don't think we should have brought him back. No doubt he's a talisman but he's past his best and his injuries are a worry.

Root got unlucky which set the collapse and pressure did the rest. It looks as though it is still possible to score runs and while Pakistan are ahead it’s not all over yet. That 50 partnership for the 9th wicket is looking the difference at the moment.

I would have given him longer to reach fitness even if it meant missing this series. For me the fact he didn’t bowl when their tail was hanging around was telling.
