very hard to be sure with those pad first ones, I guess SRI didn't want to burn a review first ball....

I got saved from suffering by decent weather for the Afghan match. Not much luck since.

You missed a really good game! I abandoned my England bias and appreciated how great Afghanistan were.

I caught the highlights. I would have watched a full replay but have the misfortune of having Now TV. It seems to be made really awful so as not to compete.

They've just said on TMS that these are the highest averages at the tournament:

Quinton de Kock
Rohit Sharma
Mark Wood

That says it all about our woeful efforts.

It's cute the commentators have tried to make this sound like it's going to be even remotely close.

With the field back, that's pretty much accepting defeat.

6 off the last ball to win it.

That was like England from the 90s. The whole tournament has been.

I've seen a few comments on HYS about how 50 over cricket is unfashionable. I disagree. There's more tactics involved than 20/20, but obviously not the intrigue of a Test.

The level of tactics involved doesn't determine whether it is fashionable. That is determined by how many want to play it, and more importantly, how many want to watch it.
