What a great series by two very good teams. My prediction that the last 2 tests would be bad tempered was wrong, although the incident did seem to effect Carey a bit.

Yes he will stay retired, in answer to original Q. He's retiring from all cricket, has a young baby / child. He won't be tempted back.

I'm not sure what you mean - each test was five days.
The compressed nature of the series may have helped it keep momentum, both for fans and players.
Unwittingly, the ECB may have come up with a schedule which is better than the old approach.

Exactly. Reserve days aren't a new thing, and we should be using them more often.

Reserve Days: I assume they have financial cost [especially if you include lost earnings for all the facilities, staff, players etc]. Clearly worth thinking about, but we DID have the wettest July in a loooooong time, so some careful sums need to be done. ONE rain draw does not a disaster make. (and it can rain on day 6 too ... )

I've tried to watch the Hundred on several occasions and can't get on with it at all, its not just the graphics that pi$$ me off its the whole damn thing
