Well, not creative, nor really photography, but since I risked my life for you...

Not sure if I'll have any decent stills from this favourite spot of mine, but it was still tiddling down, so I didn't do much fiddling with the proper camera, and certainly didn't get any closer to the river.

Keeper's Pond Aurora-1.JPG

The timing and weather worked out for once last night. After missing out on a strong aurora on Tuesday night due to the blanket cloud cover the stats were high all day yesterday and they just about held out into proper darkness. I arrived around 9.40pm and got set home just as a diffuse aurora developed. I left the camera running on the intervalometer for around half an hour in which time the aurora developed quite strongly before fading again. It was visible to the naked eye as white (too many cars in and out of the adjacent car park and people with torches for my eyes to adjust fully). The location is Keeper's Pond which anyone who has ridden the climb of The Tumble will probably know as it is right at the side of the road.

My thoughts exactly. Could be stretched out to 10 seconds?

Take the average, and it's 15s then 🤣

I spied a colourful crab apple tree out of the corner of my eye on a ride and went back with a camera and 3 different lenses. I was right to return, It was crammed full of blossom.
The first 3 were all taken in the same way, just with the 3 different lenses to see how much difference there would be.

Interesting, thanks WoW. I like the first two of these in their different ways. Third one not quite so keen on as that front right flower feels like it needs to be in more focus, in my rather more literal mind.

True, looks like I missed focus on the third as it's more towards the top rear flower. Mostly posted for the backgrounds.
I especially like your third shot of the blue flower.👍

Aha.

Yes, that was my favourite too, ignoring the more botanically interesting side of the flower to get the rain droplets. Technically what I wanted with the focus too.
