Used the app to check in at a pub yesterday. Despite someone on here saying it is possible, I could not work out how to check out at the end of my visit. This is not accurate enough so I won't be using it again.

On an iPhone... Just turn off the contact tracing slider

I awoke this morning to 2 alerts, on my Android I slide my finger down from the top to see more of the alerts, one appeared to be warning stating that I may have been in contact with somebody who had tested positive, directly below was another message saying something along the lines that something was complete & there was no need to be concerned. I opened the App only to find nothing to see, nothing to find out what these messages are/were. Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, the first message everyone gets. It means your phone has detected you were close to someone who has tested positive for Covid. The second test is the algorithm working out that you were not close enough for long enough to be classed as a contact and required to isolate and this is the second text. If you were then the app would give you a countdown until the end of your isolation period and direct you on testing/tracing.

If you got just one message and no follow up message, then the app has not been updated to remove the phantom data privacy alerts that were poorly worded and scared the life out of everyone!

That's weird as I never left my house yesterday as I remember
It would not have been yesterday that you had contact with them as they need time to develop symptoms and then get a test and then wait for the results. The chances are that had you actually caught it then you would have your own symptoms already.

Another instance today, think it a crap way of doing it, I not really interested if someone near me has tested Positive if it doesn't affect me, Unless they are going to tell me when & where it happened so I can avoid either that person or that area.
