I have been dreading something happening to me ... Imagine the humiliation of having a 22 page thread leading up to me not doing my own ride!:blush:

Dont worry colin it wouldnt be the first time ;):giggle:

Well, folks, as there now seems to be a vacancy or two, is there room at the Trough for a little piglet sloth? But you must promise to leave some food for me at the cafe stop(s) or we shall have words (if I can catch you up :bicycle:) (don't worry, you're safe!).
Looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday.

@potsy Don't be a pussy, Potsy :stop: Hope you're well enough to turn out.

dr_pink hasn't seen this post, do you really, really want her to see this?
Yes, I might finally get some sympathy

So you have 2 women coming to see you [includes coffee jo], travelling huge distances, and the best you can come up with is "man flu?". Dr_pink is recovering from a nasty cold [the equivalent of man flu] and despite that and plus her average speed is now really slow she will still do the ride .
I always reckon on 10 - 20% dropout in good weather and 75% plus in bad.

Well I'm still in and now I've agreed to ride from my house to the start point in Whalley (approx. 13miles through Blackburn). Helps when Totally Fixed and Dr Pink are telling me to keep moving

This will be the longest mile ride I will have completed for over a year.

Really really excited and cant wait to see this great mass turnout!

As Dr P said - Lots of Torq and I have the gels lined up and ready

Do we have a vague head count? Not that I have any idea why I'm asking. I'm useless at names, especially since there's the added complication of usernames vs real ones...

I reckon it's easier to use forum names to save confusion. In fact when I'm chatting to Mum on the phone, I have to remember not to to refer to Night Train as NT!
