I think we will fragment naturally like on the SITD, but might be an idea to know who will be at the front and who will be at the back......... I'll be at the back, but I don't want to hold faster riders up.

I've yet to do a ride, where the faster riders have been held up; but consider this, the faster riders are usually the slowest drinkers and last to leave the pub . Things usually even out, one way or the other.

I will keep a space for you at the back then Potsy:laugh:

A space ? There'll be so many of us at the back, you'll need a massive cordon

How far is the next planned cafe stop Colin? I.e, how far is the 1st cafe stop from HB?
Good point ...

The only cafe stop is at Glasson Dock, which is near enough half way at about 84 km (about 50 km from Whalley). I carry two 750 mL bottles for rides like this which will last me that far. Food and drink at the cafe plus the bottles (refilled at the cafe) will get me home.

There is a drinking water tap (marked 'D') above the wash basin in the men's toilet block at Spring Wood and I assume that there is one in the women's too so anybody riding from Hebden Bridge can refill there both ways (assuming that the toilet buildings are still open when we return).

Never mind cafés - how many pub stops . . . or will I have to bring my own supplies ?
I checked Streetview for you ... We turn left 100 metres before the cafe and The Victoria Inn is directly opposite the junction!

Carry what you need to get you to the cafe/pub, and restock with whatever you need to get back!

Ok, I volunteer not to ride in the slow group at the back. Anyone else?
I will volunteer my OH not to ride at the back.... Will that help?

I have updated the first post with GPX files showing the main 103 km loop.

I will create files later for Hebden Bridge to Spring Wood (from Padiham via the Old Roman Road, which is my preferred outward leg) and Spring Wood to Hebden Bridge (to Padiham via the A671 which is easier/quicker and likely to be chosen), both using the Padiham Greenway, which is my choice of route into/out of Padiham these days.

Drat - I forgot to embed the name of the track in the first file - it just says 'Track'! Oh, well, the file name tells you what it is.
