'er indores heats the plates by sticking them in a low oven for 15 mins. When I'm doing the cooking I just use them as the 'lid' on the potataoes/pasta/rice/veges pan.

Of course we use a teapot! Standards must be maintained!

Standards are obviously not being maintained if you're using tea bags instead of proper loose tea!

Proper tea cannot be made without a teapot.

You need a tea-cosy too. Here's mine:

I'm suffering from tea-cosy envy. Does that mean I'm getting old?

Is loose tea cheaper than tea bags, per cup?

I'm pretty sure it's more expensive. Tea-bags are made from the dusty stuff that's left after the good tea leaves have been snaffled, and they're usually blended. It's not THAT expensive, though, and it's about six times as good...

Common or kitchengarden tea is also generally cheaper than yer average bag. Tastier, healthier, better for the environment, good for the complexion and more likely to help you remember a loved one's birthday. Just not so convenient.
