Just done another re wax after 200miles.

Getting in a routine now and getting less time consuming.

The only small issue I’m having is removing at 50-55 degrees leaves a good bit of wax on the outside of the chain to clean off. I understand the need to remove at this temp to allow as much wax to adhere to rollers and pins on inside.

Just something I’ve noticed.

Why does removing wax from the outside of the chain affect how much is on the rollers and pins ?

I was out on a very wet club ride with freshly waxed chain last weekend, 60 miles, the last few miles home I could hear my chain rattling slightly, wasn’t sure what to do so I re dipped it.

Will rain strip off the wax? Or what does everyone else do when their waxed chain gets soaked?

Rain won't strip the wax but it will degrade to a degree and certainly more quickly than in dry conditions. Dirt sticking to the chain will be less than a lubed chain but it will still be there and will depend on how much wax you have on the chain surfaces and how hard/soft the wax is.

You can rinse your chain with cold water and then either let it air dry or lightly wipe with a clean cloth. some people use an air line but that's not available to the masses!

Waxed my chain again today, only used in dry/summer weather. Yet, to be convinced about wet/winter weather, but I'm open to persuasion.:hello:
