Pat, IMO it's too far to walk from the station to the Community Centre and getting parked near the statue may be a problem as it's by a busy road, however it's possible he could wait on Atholl Place. I would give some thought to getting the bikes delivered directly at the station, then parking up at the Community Centre for the duration. I'm not sure if there's a waiting area at the station though, Techmech may be able to advise?
Ok, that is good advice: even if there's no waiting, we can pay the minimum parking just for the time to unload the bikes.
Could you give me a description of the statue, so I can give it to the girls coming by car and parking at the community centre?
Ta so much!

Hi all. Don't think I'm going to manage along to this ride. Am presently up north with the family on holiday and don't expect to be back home until late on Friday evening or mid Saturday morning. Will hopefully make the next one though.

Have fun.

Mid Saturday drop-off as you pass Perth sounds about ideal ...

With some misgivings, I'm going to give this one a miss I'm afraid, and I do appreciate that this will cut down some on your rest time at the top of the hills:smile:
My brother and his tribe will be over from abroad, so familial duties will take precedence.
Looking forward to the next one though...

I hope you get the same thunder and lighting that was forecast for the Cairngorm Sportive, it turned out to be :sun:

Just like my hill-walk up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cobbler on Saturday which most of the week was forecast to be heavy rain, then on Friday the forecast changed to say light showers and in the end there was barely the faintest smirr (though it was a touch misty for a bit at the summit)

Hi guys and gals, I'm all organized
There will be a RED van at Townhead around15 St Mungo street on Saturday at 8.15 for 8.30 taking the bikes plus 2 passengers to Perth.
Gary the driver is going to ride with us, he's an ex cyclist and bike mechanic!
Can @Harry_Palmer79 go in the van with him, show him where the parking at North inch is, ride back to the meeting point with him?
The other passenger in the van (might be me) will wait at Perth train station with the bikes for the train goers to arrive.
We will all regroup at the meeting point.
@Rasmus and @Edwardoka can put their bikes in the van for the return journey if they like.
Does that sound like a plan? I'm all stressed out with organizing this
Note I've put us girls on the 9.08 train to Perth, a bit earlier than needed just in case of delays :girldance:

That does indeed sound like a plan @Pat "5mph", you're officially a legend!

I've had a quick peek at the map and it looks pretty straightforward to get from the meeting point to the parking and back, so I'm happy to do that!

From the few CC Ecosse rides I've been on so far, having a bike mechanic along can only be a good thing, though I think it would have taken a miracle-worker to get my bike running on Arran!
