As an ex director of a local gallery I can confirm you are correct according to some of the “art” we were asked to exhibit.
There's a (slightly?) satirical take on modern art, in one of Terry Pratchetts books; 'Thud'
In particular. he has a bit of a go at Tracey Emin (think it's her??) who did the bed that looked like someone was very late for work, & just left it as though they’d leapt out of it

One of the few Terry Pratchett books I have not read. Must pester our library but they have a habit of junking any thing not crime or any pulp fiction.

I was over at a friends house last night. They had a new Japanese toilet with a power lid, heated seat and an air filter and all kinds of automatic butt washing and warming features.

At 4 to 22 thousand dollars US depending on options it’s like buying a car, but imagine spending the price of a nice used car for a potty. ( and they had a lot of options on this thing )

Think about it… you should be laughing by now.
