Carbon seat post?

My Cannondale came with a full carbon seatpost, I rode it a few times then changed it for an alu one.

PS: I have never been able to tell any difference in comfort between the two :becool:

I agree entirely, I had an alu seatpost, and a relative bought me a carbon seatpost (telling me that the difference is incredible). I cannot tell the difference at all.

On one of my bikes, I have a carbon seatpost that cost a bomb and other than looking super slick, it offers no benefit whatsoever, in fact the clamping mechanism is absolutely ridiculous and I HATE having to make any saddle adjustments! But it looks great though!

Ive bought 2 kcnc seatposts off ebay for the price you'd get 1 inferior one from the outlets you list

I hate paypal, hence my avoidance of eBay

Post a link for the OP ;)

Is the OP looking just to lose weight off the bike? There must be better ways

I fitted a carbon seat post to my bike and forgot until I was half way through the ride / I didn't immediately go 'this bike is much more comfy'

That said, my plastic bike glides along, whereas my alu bike is susceptible to the buzz a little more. So much so, I have to check I have the right pressure and haven't got a puncture on the plastic bike as it is so comfy.

just a word of warning, if using a carbon post in a carbon frame, they can fuse if you do not use a suitable barrier.
