If I'm having a "home" day, then a mug of peppermint tea. First meal of the day then is usually luncheon.

If I'm having an "away" day, then a large bowl of porridge and a mug of peppermint tea, as on these days, the timing of luncheon tends to be somewhat haphazard.

Porridge with frozen mango chunks.
Huh, we get them fresh from the tree over the road but never tried them in Oats. Have to do that.

Boring. Fruit, usually banana.
Coffee, toast and something. Usually spread and black cherry jam, marmite or marmalade. But increasingly restrained portions.
Better days, pain au chocolat or fried egg on toast.
Always home made bread and homemade yoghurt - it's about the sugar.
Mysterious powder, dissolved in tepid water to encourage a slovenly bowel.
I struggle to consume less than 30gm of sugar per day, however it is concealed by rogue manufacturers.

Rolled oats with formerly frozen fruit.

its Friday morning,
It's not, or wasn't for me as I don't do AM, unless you count the hours before I go to bed, usually about 5am, but could even be 6am. I do however eat breakfast type foods in the evening or late at night. I like porridge made with full fat Jersey milk, Weetabix type wheat biscuits again with full fat milk, marmalade on toasted white bread, low sugar muesli with full fat milk, boiled eggs with wholemeal seeded bread, crispy,/almost burnt to a cider crumpets with olive oil spread and I used to like kippers, but gave up on those dodgy troublesome bones and moved to far less dodgy bones, smoked mackerel.

Just remembered mushrooms on any type of toast, as well. :okay:

Steak, and a cup of builders PG. The breakfast of champions.

I always find a pint of 10 minutes brewed ( only fill to an inch to soak the teabags, then top up with boiling water after, so you aren't drinking going cold tea) , 2 tea bags in my pint measure mug below, a perfect cure when I have a very rare hangover.🧐

Don't you know Shredded Wheat , Cornflakes Rice Krispies are all regarded as ultra processed foods.

Your inclusion of shredded wheat put me in the mind to do some "research" (aka a few moments with G@@gle).

It's widely reported as being 100% wheat with minimal processing, seemingly a reasonable choice of breakfast cereal. I have mine with a splash of warm milk, some plain yogurt, sliced banana and berries from the garden/allotment.

As wheat breakfast products go, it sounds better than Weetabix or Shreddies, both of which contain processed malt extract. Shreddies also contain invert sugar syrup.

There are of course some nasties out there. Honey Monster Wheat Puffs are reported to be 22% sugar(s) according to Sainsbury; I'm surprised to see this is only recorded as 'amber' in the traffic light labelling scheme.
Suppose that's better than the US version, which the USDA report is over 55% sugar!!!!
