After loving the very early Star Trek series I was really chuffed when I got my first flip-top phone (beam me up Scottie). If they did a decent one, not the geriatric versions, with good camera, screen, and possibly internet access, I'd still have one.

I had a Motorola Razr. I thought it looked so cool (looking at it now, it looks extremely naff)
Yes, I had the Star Trek communicator sound effect as my ringtone, but then I switched it out for the 24 phone sound.

Trouble with flip phones is when you’re dialling 999 cos you’re being assaulted, the ne‘er-do-well can grab it and break it in 2 dead easy.

The last thing that I would do if being assaulted would be to take my phone out and make a call... I would either be running away or fighting back!
