Blood donation

I lost count of the transfusions I had last year. It's very hard to convey the overwhelming sense of gratitude that I felt, that complete strangers would give up their time and the contents of their arms so generously. Shamefully it's not something I've ever done because I'm so afraid of needles. And ironic because whilst I was in hospital I became an actual human pincushion.

I gave blood for the first time about 13 years ago. I tried to book a 2nd appointment but they never got back to me. I tried again but it was such a hassle that I gave up. Sorry
