This morning, I tuned into an interview ( BBC Radio 4) featuring the guy who managed the LFGSS cycling forum, among approximately 300 other sites, most of which he has now closed (apart from the French ones). His decision was driven by the desire to avoid huge potential financial penalties associated with the online safety act. He anticipates that many smaller forums will likely take similar action in the near future.
Is it safe here?

I think I listened to the same feature as you - it made it sound as if unpaid moderators were also at risk of unlimited fines
I know ofcom has said it won't be touching the smaller sites - but would you trust that ?

I woke up to find all my bikes, apparel and associated cycling paraphernalia had evaporated, and I no longer have the ability to move my legs in a circular 'pedalling' motion (whatever pedaling was/is?!).

All rather strange.
