Fairy liquid helps but not too much.

Talc is better, Fairy makes gripping the tyre like holding a bar of wet soap.

Can anyone give me tips on how to centre my back wheel once its back on the bike as it looks like its just left of centre to the frame. Do i just turn the back cap on the otherside of the quick release etc.

Personally it is nice to be able to fix / maintain most things on my bikes. It helps if you are miles from anywhere.

If only changing a tyre was that easy. I think the bead on the tyres I changed recently were about 100x tighter than the ones on that video. Absolute nightmare to get on.

Had to take them to the LBS in the end and even they strugged to get them on.

Nah i have not got them yet. Wished the parcel service would work weekends and bank holidays LOL, Paid £40 for the pair and cant wait to get them. Just ajusted my brakes today for the first time as well and was not sure what i was doing but the pads have worn a little so just moved them in a bit and tested and seem ok.

Having a bit of a nightmare to get my back wheel to sit centre. Its just slighley off left a bit

When you get the tyres, stuff them down the back of a radiator or put them in the airing cupboard.

Better still, put the oven on to about 40C and cook them for 30 minutes.

For even better results, put the rims in the freezer overnight.

Yes, radiators and oven both work.

In summer hanging in the sun on the washing line for 1/2 hour works.

Its usually only the first fitting that's difficult, after that tyres go on and off quite easily.
