I'd be interested in knowing the whether the morale of CPS / coppers is worsened by such rules, in particular when someone like this (who is let off) goes and does something more serious in the future.
Must be tough to see and know that the later (worse) offence could have been prevented.

I'm a nice guy, I get stressed when I'm out on my bike. I have been close to being wiped out on my bike, motorbike and my car. Even in my most 'red mist' moments I have never dragged anybody out of a car/van and started beating them.I love a lynch mob but think the guy should have a chance to apologise now!

I'm sorry but I don't see a nice guy having a bad day. I see someone who society has let do whatever he feels like doing because he feels free from punishment.
Sadly the lack of police action has proved him right.

I see a guy who has lost control then comes to his senses, if he had previous I would agree with you.
Recently I had similiar confrontation with a guy where he got out his car an approached me going mental then suddenly the two of us came to our senses, on a bad day it might of been different, taught me a lesson anyway , let it go!

What stopped you in your confrontation? Whatever it was is down to social conditioning. Knowing where the line is drawn.
