I suggest that if you wanted the correct answer to your exact circumstances you might want to seek medical not technical advice. Just a suggestion.

Well, it was THE way to remove this particular one.
You didn't bother trying any of the others.

And Steve Austin?:biggrin: don't make me laugh. he knows shoot all!
Let's just think back, shall we? Who was the tool who's first recourse was to try drilling off the pedals because he was too daft to appreciate the leverage that a good length of scaffolding pole gives a chap? Who was the tool who tried to replicate this with a length of tinfoil hoover pipe?

because, like I've already said, they all involved a blowtorch.

that didn't work, but it didn't do any harm. Scaffolding pole would have worked if I'd had a secure location for a vice, something the moronic Steve Austin kept repeatedly claiming, wrongly, wasn't necessary.

Look, I'll say this slowly. NO.THEY.FUCKING.WELL.DIDN'T.
Got that?

You just need something to keep the pedal in place. Like a spanner on the flats which you get a fat friend to stand on. It's not that bloody hard to work out.

I'm currently trying to get advice in Know How at the moment, link in my sig, the silence is deafening

I thought the reply from hubgf was pretty concise MacB.

I find most things interesting on this forum - except bonj and abitrary's insulting, puerile behaviour when it occurs. Not bothered particularly but it probably discourages some people from contributing...particularly in the 'if you don't like it, leave it alone' bits like this Café for example.

And I'll agree with Maz about the helpfulness of Steve Austin, Mickle - and many others who are helping build the understanding and confidence of those less expert than the aforementioned pair.

As an aside, there seems to be a lot more 'open' swearing going on in 'here' just recently. Is that ok? I doesn't work for me.

Just call me Chris...
Firmly back to the OP, I use a lot of diferent, specialist forums for my differing and specialist hobbys and have done for a few Years.

This place is pretty unique, because there's no sponsorship and very subtle modding (don't wana hear the Simoncc stuf here please) it feels as if we have free reign.

Ok, alot of the serious debate goes straight over my head as a) I'm not very bright and  not particularly interested.
Some of the posts on here are exremely entertatining though and it's far from unusual for me to have a real belly laugh at some witty writing; that's a very good thing

This place does seem to get some criticism levelled at it for not being a cycling forum. For me as a newbie, I've posted a raft of cycling questions here and always had plenty of sensible solutions which have worked well so is always my first port of call for technical queries.

That's one of the things I like about it. If all we ever did was talk about cycling, it would be a very dull place indeed. This place is more like a pub with lots of people with similar interests.
