Hang on, im Joe24, not Kovu.
I was going to put that i was the best, but i got distracted annoying 'ilovebikes'
I like to go at that little group one at a time, 'ilovebikes' one time, then go for Radius, and i tend to leave YC alone now unless he joins in on it.
I am infact the best most arrogant git ever, and you do will all love me or i will threaten your pets.
End of:thumbsup:

Altered it for you.

I think of it as being a forum for cyclists, rather than a cycling forum. Maybe a subtle distinction, but it does mean we get threads about music and fixing PCs, to take two recent examples. There's been a fair number of rides and meets arranged too. I like it.
I agree.

I like the fact that you can come here to discuss practically anything you want.

I also enjoy the mix of people - even moral and political degenerates like Patrick.

And I get enormous pleasure from seeing Bonj consistently succeed in winding up some of the "regulars". It's a bit like being in a big family where some members know just what buttons to press to get a reaction from their their brothers and sisters

The Manager is an exceptionally generous sort of person, and he does not charge for you to use his facilites. Drinks are generally on the House.

Mickle, shouldn't you be out with the other York peeps? And I would like to see another photo of Spandex please.:blush:

Is there not enough on here for you:blush: I did not know about the close up of me:ohmy:

Yep I agree with that too.

Has a good mix of all sorts and the tone of the forum is generally very friendly and welcoming. Even the odd spat in P&L is kind of amusing.

It's the only forum I have actually met others from and joined any rides too.
I have to say it's been a pleasure to meet others from here, without exception.:smile::laugh:

Have to say I was delighted to stumble on CC. I'd been relying on a usenet group up till then - rec.cycling.uk, I think - but there are some seriously twisted and unpleasant people on it, who seem to delight in laying into newbies who 'transgress'. Woe betide anyone who, in all innocence, and motivated only by concern for their fellow man, suggests wearing a helmet. All 'the regulars' (who seem to view themselves as some kind of in-crowd elite, rather than the sad losers they clearly are) get the knives out and lay into the poor sod. They really are a savage and merciless bunch. Unlike all the nice people hereabouts.

I like it here. It's nice.

Sums it all up very neatly ... ;)

This is my main forum, I do have the odd look on bike radar, but it's all a bit dead and boring over there. Also quite a regular visitor on Team Estrogen, which is nice for girlie specific cycling problems, but mainly American and you are not really allowed to discuss much outside cycling (apart from very safe topics like "Show us your pets"), so yes, CC wins!

This is my main hang out too - I look at Velo Vision of course, but that's much smaller and less busy.

As for tech advice, this would always be my first port of call if I happen to be online - although mainly not for bike stuff - I know there are folk on here who know about most things, or know where best to ask if they can't help. I have so few bike related enquiries, I usually ask whichever mate happens to be handy.

In all seriousness I do like this site a hell of a lot. I like the fact you can have a joke with people and the fact that the older members of CC are perfectly happy to welcome anyone into the site no matter how new.

Ahhhh I feel like a big I love you all and group hug coming along now.

Can we not be terribly British and just nod curtly at each other?
