Are any CCrs really going to suffer in this heat ?

Done my ride at 5:15 this morning

2 hours behind you, for the commute. Weren't at all that bad.
Yesterday afternoons commute however was a different kettle of fish. It was like riding in a blast furnace. Thoroughly enjoyable though. Just took it nice and easy and drank plenty of water.

Sadly no commutes these days mate - the downside to WFH :okay:
The upside being I ensure I book in the appropriate time to do a daily ride (usually about 11 or so - work diary permitting of course ).

Enjoy your commute home this afternoon - will be well scorchio!

Went out around 7am for a wander with the dog, just a couple of miles.
It is already 28c here now, and set to rise to 36c later...
Plenty of water for us on route, and a nice bit of shade for some of it too.

Now for a lot of lounging about around the campervan, tough life

Commute was fine this morning. Took it easy and still set a fast time, despite there being more dog walkers out at 7am on the canal.

Not many in the office, looks like public transport isn't working as folk have stayed at home. Lovely and cool in the building though - modern non- ac cooling system using bore holes, despite it being 'glass'.

Argh, the 'in the office' meeting has now been moved to 'Teams' (covid infected folk and heat) - I checked it yesterday. At least I won't be in a boiling conservatory at 2pm for two hours. Oh well, miles = smiles

Rode to a work appointment and back this morning.
In spite of the temp touching 30, I managed to avoid sweating until I got home. By the time I finished putting the bike away I was dripping.
It's getting quite muggy so hopefully some rain is on the way this arvo - met office says I am delusional

28 Celsius here in my kitchen as I post. Why is east Lancashire 'hotter' than west Yorkshire I wonder? 🤔
That room is north-facing so it doesn't get much direct sunlight.

The Met Office is forecasting a 60% chance of heavy rain showers here at 16:00, followed by steam as it evaporates off the baked roads.

Another lovely evening forecast though so I will go out and do 60-90 minutes on the bike once conditions are more comfortable.
