ofcourse it is. what you are questioin is the point of tyring to make anything lighter and stronger and throwing poo poo in the face of all the tlaented enginers, chamiests, physicists and metallurgists. I mean, why bother with with double butted thin wall aluminium tubes since one from girders? why bother with spoked wheels when a set of wooden carwheels and iron bands for tyres would do the job?

I realsie we are not taking hoooooge weight saving but it all counts. If you have ever competed, you eill understand the psychologicocacoloaicalk advantage it gives you over the opposition; and if you don;t come first, well the only reason is that you havenlt made your bike light enough.

stick to having your jobbies and wanging and I'll stick to my nylon bolts than you very much. ;)

I also think the weight saving aspect of nylon bolts is a waste of time, I'd never buy them for that reason. I also wouldn't bother going out to look for them myself, hours of my life to find plastic bolts? However I'm quite happy to give someone a few quid if they'll send me a few as steel bolts rust.
