From Birmingham International Airport it is an easy walk to the NEC. Follow the signs to the Air-Rail Link. It leaves from the airport, first floor of terminal one. Exit the Air-Rail Link at the Birmingham International Station then continue to walk onto the bridgelink covered walkway.

The Air-Rail Link operates from 0515 to 0200 every 2 minutes. Travel time is about 90 seconds.

Many thanks for that, very helpful. I had no idea about the Air-Rail Link. I will go book my tickets and entry to NEC.

Hmm, hadn't really thought about it myself until I read this thread. Birmingham's not too far from Nottingham.

£12.50 seem a lot to look at a bunch of adverts, though ... hmm ... could be fun if I can make a day out with the mates of it.

I think it has now moved to Birmingham, was chatting to the nice chaps at Pearsons the other day who will be going, saying Earls Court is easier

Looks like it

FYI, CycleSurgery have 2011 Cubes on sale at the mo

If anyone wants to save a little on the entrance in advance, code CPM or CAM ...£11 + £1 fee (I think normal advance is £12.50 + £1 fee)

Re CyCle Surgery: Yes but not good enough for me Im a bargain lover. Anyway I think I might just buy a Mountain Bike for winter but still undecided on which one (like the cube access pro but over budget even in the sales) and is it in winter and then take my time through the next few months to pick my road bike either when:
*the sale bike hit rock bottom (with a chance of sell out)
* new bikes with some discount by Jan/ Feb time (good old competition online)
* or be lucky enough to get a clean used one

Re: Cycle Show what a let down CUBE are not there, big luck of opportunity to show case their bikes IMO. I dont think Ill bother after all

They have these things called trains to take the strain so you don't have to do that
It's a fair point (if badly made) but it doesn't take account of the number of people who would have been travelling in one car (4 of us went together to Earls Court), the 3-4 hours it would take to get there, the £47.90 minimum return price - per person... etc

Yep, driving up from Reading on the Sunday and I don't have to take the Mrs. Don't get me wrong, I love my wife to pieces but she says it will be boring for her so I can take the credit card and go off and "have a nice day"

Oh my god, we will be paying for this for years but hey, you only live once and your cycling days won't last forever, show me the goodies!!!
