Went last year at Earls Court and it was a good day out. But, as with the Motorcycle Show, I find it better to attend every other year so that you get to see more 'new' stuff rather than just, for example, different colour schemes.
You will love it especially if the Milano stand is there again.

going friday, earls court last year was a bit of a trek for me and made it a long day, nec only half hour away so should have more time this year to see things

If you're cycling then there's a cycle path from Solihull town centre to the NEC.

I loved it last year. A bit gutted it's all the way in Brum, so I can't cycle... BUT that means it'll have more stuff, so all good!
