2 year old Alfasud?

To be pedantic, the Alfasud was front wheel drive.

It must be a 75!

Long retired mechanic , very few made it to the first mot at 3 year old . Traffic light start commonly led to Bulk head separation.

On hindsight, most of the alternatives weren't much better back then.

A friend of my Dad's ended up in a hedge when a rear suspension mount pulled out of the bodywork on a 3 or 4 year old Talbot Sunbeam. I remember MKIV Cortinas with broken chassis around the rear suspension at 5 or 6 year old.

Odd… my mind immediately went to an Italian car as well… a Lancia Beta coupe, but it does say something about them doesn’t it.

Yep, they had excellent 5 speed boxes, discs that really worked and handled better than any escort.

Oh sh!t. My memory let me down. My Dad's car wasn't the Sud, it was the Beta.
Not that it makes much difference. 😉
