Its a pedestrian underpass below railway line
When it was rebuilt, the local Council wanted to change it to 'TittleCot', locals objected (fond memories???) so the name stayed!

Whitby has a 'Grape Lane'
It's located to the east side of the swing-bridge, & somewhat cleaned up from its original 'Grope C**t Lane'
Given that Whitby was a port, as Terry Pratchett referred to them, 'the ladies of negotiable virtue' were to be found here
The cleaned up origination is that, due to the overhanging tall buildings, it was a dark area... but that goes for most streets prior to lighting them!?

If you know of a Union Street, or Union Road, it's not named for either of the Acts of Union, nor for any Trades Union building being there.

It was where a Union, of a number of Parishes, had built a Workhouse under the auspices of the Poor Law Amendment Act of 1834.

Final round question was, “ Name 3 Meatloaf songs .”

I got , ‘ Bat out of Hell ‘ and ‘You took the words right out of my mouth ‘ but couldn’t think of a third.

I took my kids into one on a rainy day as there was a free go at painting a figure. They lady that worked there was so patient and talented with everyone there. She was also good at selling us stuff once done!!
