That's genius. Motorsport will be revolutionised.

I remember watching a race things with F1 and other pro drivers using normal showroom type cars

They were not allowed to change anything except for a minimal number of safety things but one of them turned up with a car that had old tyres on it worn down so there was no tread left
Not exactly sure it operated the same as racing slicks but as it was only half serious (put a racing driver in a car and mention the word "Track" and a race will always ensue) it was allowed!

I would 100% watch that.

I used to live near there
Never heard anyone say that unless it was to annoy a tourist

Normally referred to the town as Llanfair - or Llanfair PG if there might be confusion with another Llanfair

saying the whole thing was just something for tourists

I half recall the full version of the name was a modern(ish) creation as a publicity stunt to attract tourists; maybe by the railway company or a local hotelier

Llanfair C to differentiate from PG. Then at work they were just known as C or PG

I think for a non Welsh speaker it is like a day at the zoo.

Let's see if we can get an ape to peel a banana becomes let's find a local to say Llanfair PG.

It is extremely annoying.

We once got an order to put the full name on a woolly hat. It was a challenge we could not resist but were only prepared to do a small number and no repeat orders as it was labour intense and so not really profitable.
