I've been enjoying the sound (and occasional sights) of daily overflights from two-seat Spitfire TR9 SM250 (G-ILDA) here in Budleigh. I just looked up how much a quick flip would set me back and have had to sit down with a cup of tea to recover.

I'm so poor, my closet's not big enough for planes, even though it's got a lot of hangers. 😠

Are you guys mistaking moths for planes?
Moths? Are you Foxing us? There’s no mistaking a Puss for a Tiger or a Leopard. I find it hard to Swallow that you’d think that. You must be a bit of a Gipsy to try Hawking that idea around. Maybe you need a Hornet to chase you into a spin.

edit. You cannot be Cirrus

Occasionally get a C130 Hurcules fly over the now being dug up runway of the old Alconbury airbase, no idea why they do it, low, couple hundred feet maybe. Today one flew right over our factory, we were in the first floor fire escape looking right across the airfield, you could see it quite clearly crabbing along with quite a strong side wind today. Lovely sight as it slowly disappeared into the distance,

Whilst watching the new Bond film an RAF C-17 appeared on screen - since I grew up and still live not too far from Brize Norton it was like a little bit of home.

Also, t'other day a brace of Apaches flew over at low level - my son was beside himself as, apparently, he has one of those in whatever game he plays.
