The kettle won't work, he'd have to get the car out to drive to Tescos to get a new kettle and because his wheel is buckled on his bike and besides, it's raining heavily. Tescos are just about to shut so he parks just outside to keep as dry as possible. Tescos have a fire alarm test. The fire brigade, answering the alert, skid on standing water and write his car off in the car park because he left his car in a dangerous position as it's parked illegally. His insurance refuse to pay out because he left his car in a dangerous place... so he gets fined by the Police. The Fire Engine bouncing off his car catches a steel post outside Tescos resulting in the collapse of the entrance canopy where hundreds of people were sheltering from the rain, several are injured, resulting in a claim against Tescos and the Fire Service which is passed down the line to Tyred, so he has to sell his house to pay for the court case.... perhaps he'd be better cutting the red wire?
